Introduction text
Wrapping using fabric is nothing new; both Japan and Korea have been using traditional styles of fabric wrapping for over a thousand years to store and gift, with shared cultural connotations around the chosen fabrics and patterns. While the transitory nature of trends had seen some of these traditions fall by the wayside, awareness of the impact of the beautiful but environmentally-naughty wrapping paper industry has brought this traditional style of wrapping to the forefront of our minds again.
Artful Pea wrapping cloths are made from 100% natural silk twill, digitally printed for vibrant colours and crisp lines. Twill can be identified by its iconic diagonal rib created by the weaving process; it gives a very sculptural structured feel, with great lustre and durability, and will hold a sharp and crisp knot when wrapping.
All of our collections are underpinned with a personal story; hand drawn patterns carefully sketched out, digitised, and coloured, to bring love to your gifts, bento wrap, home decor, and accessorising.
