How to wrap: The yam

The yam style is one of the simplest of all, involving no knots or ties, just wrapping up smoothly and then holding in place with a ribbon.  As silk can be a bit slippery, sometimes when doing this wrapping style I use washi tape to hold the folds in place as you work, and then remove them once the ribbon is in place.

It has a lovely clean finish that works especially well on structured gifts such as books or boxes, but can also work on softer folded items like a t-shirt.
